A belt buckle, a street sign, a color in passing; I catch them all like film stills in my head. I like that, I think, and store it away. They sit there, quietly fermenting. People ask, how did you make that? But process isn’t always technical; it’s instinctual. I collect what I can’t explain, what I can’t quite digest, and let it resurface. Transformed through form, texture, and touch.
About Me.
Hi! I’m Aubrey Aria Lopez, a multidisciplinary artist from South Texas. My work is curious and experimental, often moving between sculpture, ceramics, and collage to explore material, form, and feeling. I’m a two-time Engaged Scholars Artist Award (ESAA) recipient, with pieces exhibited at the International Museum of Art & Science(IMAS), and I’ve curated a gallery show featuring local and emerging artists. I’ll be graduating with my BFA in Studio Art from UTRGV in Spring 2026 and am excited to continue growing in creative environments that value play, process, and visual storytelling.
